Berlin-based painter Max Kaus (1891–1977) was a close friend of the Brücke artists. On the occasion of a generous donation by Sigrid Kaus, paintings, prints and watercolours from the years 1911 to 1975 are being shown.

Hello, I object!
Holiday Workshop

Summer holiday workshop for children, 8–12 years old

For what would you go out on the street? What are you rebelling against and by what means? Is there something you’ve always wanted to say publicly? After an examination of the life and work of the Brücke artists during the period of National Socialism, we discuss the social and political situation of that time and compare it with today. How do you imagine the ideal society of tomorrow? What still needs to be changed? We reflect on how we can express our opinions and ideas artistically, what forms we give them and how we can take them with us into our everyday lives.
