In this workshop\, we wi ll creatively design Berlin with needle and thread. Inspired by the extrao rdinary collaboration between the weaver Lise Gujer and the Brücke artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner\, we will learn how drawings were transformed into i mpressive textile art. We want to try out Gujer's distinctive way of worki ng\, a mixture of art\, comic and fabric\, together and think about it fur ther.\n\nHow do you see our city? In this workshop\, we will creatively de sign Berlin with needle and thread. Inspired by the extraordinary collabor ation between the weaver Lise Gujer and the Brücke artist Ernst Ludwig Kir chner\, we will learn how drawings were transformed into impressive textil e art. We want to try out Gujer's distinctive way of working\, a mixture o f art\, comic and fabric\, together and think about it further.\n\nThe wor kshop will take place in the Waldraum on the side of the Grunewald forest - a special place where nature and art meet. Inspired by Gujer's brightly colored tapestries\, which focus on life between the city and the countrys ide\, we will create imaginative everyday scenes. Used textiles and thread s will be used to create lively scenes that interweave memories and vision s of the future. By combining embroidery\, drawing and painting\, we give shape to your ideas for a Berlin worth living in.\n\nMarcos García Pérez a nd Carla Schliephack make up the Berlin-based art duo Meeting Lines. Toget her\, they investigate critical collective processes at the intersection o f human/environment and self-education/art. To this end\, they develop sit e-specific drawing practices that involve copying\, improvising and playin g. The reuse of materials is central to their arts education work as well as their artistic practice.\n\nMarcos García Pérez studied fine arts at th e Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and graduated from the UdK Berlin in 2020 in the Art in Context programme. Since then\, he has worked as an in dependent artist and art educator.\n\nAfter earning a B.A. in fashion desi gn\, Carla Schliephack was a master student in the Sculpture Department at the weißensee academy of art berlin\, a programme she continues to promot e. Through further training as a systemic coach\, she now works as an art educator and freelance artist in Berlin.
