DESCRIPTION:With Meeting Lines (artistic collective / Marcos García Pérez a
nd Carla Schliephack)\n\nIn this open workshop\, participants will experim
ent with charcoal\, stencil and collage techniques. Hands and movements wi
ll also be used\, leaving shared marks on the paper. By laying down\, smud
ging and sharing these marks\, vibrant images will emerge. For each exhibi
tion\, the Co-Crafting Club introduces a new craft technique that ties in
with the themes of the presentation. As with the Brücke artists\, particip
ants discover that creating collectively stimulates the imagination. Throu
gh teamwork\, we discover how much fun it is to share and transform resour
ces\, ideas and materials.\n\nThis format is part of the FREI RAUM KUNST y
outh programme\, which embraces multilingualism\, provides support and enc
ourages exchange between young people from all backgrounds.\n\nNo prior kn
owledge is necessary. Although the workshop will be mainly in German\, we
mention the languages spoken by the facilitators to make it more accessibl
 e. If you don’t feel confident in German\, don’t worry — you can still tak
e part.\n\nMarcos García Pérez and Carla Schliephack make up the Berlin-ba
sed art duo Meeting Lines. Together\, they investigate critical collective
processes at the intersection of human/environment and self-education/art
. To this end\, they develop site-specific drawing practices that involve
copying\, improvising and playing. The reuse of materials is central to th
eir arts education work as well as their artistic practice.\n\nMarcos Garc
ía Pérez studied fine arts at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and
graduated from the UdK Berlin (Berlin University of the Arts) in 2020 in t
he Art in Context programme. Since then\, he has worked as an independent
artist and art educator.\n\nAfter earning a B.A. in fashion design\, Carla
Schliephack was a master student in the Sculpture Department at the weiße
nsee academy of art berlin\, a programme she continues to promote. Through
further training as a systemic coach\, she now works as an art educator a
nd freelance artist in Berlin.\n\nWe are committed to respectful interacti
on. Discriminatory behavior has no place at our events.
