Short biographies

Fundamental research from the perspective of an interdisciplinary, artistic-scientific methodological approach that combines theory and practice, starting from the frame picture. Since her doctorate entitled Künstler rahmen ihre Bilder in Bonn 1991, she has produced numerous reference works on the subject of the artist’s frame (including In Perfect Harmony. Bild + Rahmen 18501920). From these, the continuing interest in border areas and their value as cultural landscapes is evident to this day.
