Re-visited I
Limitations of Thinking, Limitations of Acting

Dialogical exhibition tour with Andreas Hüneke
Art historian, Potsdam

Andreas Hüneke is art historian and provenance researcher. Since 2003, he has held a teaching position at the “Degenerate Art” research center of Freie Universität Berlin. Since the 1970s, his focus has been on the works confiscated during the Nazi regime. Born and raised in the GDR as the son of a priest, his fascination with Expressionism and abstraction repeatedly touched upon limitations. He arrived at the Staatliche Galerie Moritzburg in Halle (1970-1977) via a detour of working as a theatre painter and studying theology. Since then he has worked as as a freelancer and has lived in Potsdam since 1982.

In the series Re-visited, experts from different disciplines share their particular perspective on the exhibition – an exhibition tour based on discussion.
