Lecture by Marian Stein-Steinfeld (art historian, co-curator). Followed by a discussion between Marian Stein-Steinfeld and Magdalena Syen (assistant curator).
After and during her studies in art history, cultural anthropology and Jewish studies, Marian Stein-Steinfeld worked for ten years in the Frankfurt art cabinet Hanna Bekker vom Rath. Since 1989, she has worked as a freelance research assistant on exhibition projects, including for the Museum Wiesbaden, and since 1993 as a freelance curator at the Stadtmuseum Hofheim, specialising in Hanna Bekker vom Rath and her circle of artists. She has published numerous publications, including the 2018 biography Hanna Bekker vom Rath. Acting for Art and Artists. She is the founder and director of the Hanna Bekker vom Rath Archive. In 2021/22 she set up the website https://hanna-bekker-vom-rath.org.
