Never Apart.
Frames and Pictures by the Brücke Artists

You are cordially invited to the opening of on Friday, 15 November 2019 at 7 pm at Brücke-Museum.

The exhibition Never Apart is the first to look at the role and meaning of the frame for the artists’ group Brücke: the artists designed frames especially for their paintings and employed special profiles, always with a view to creating a compositional unit with the image content.

Thanks to countless loans from national and international institutions, as well as many originally framed paintings from the Brücke-Museum’s collection, Never Apart offers visitors an overview of this hitherto neglected field of artistic endeavour.
