Guided tour, Talk
In Dialogue - Community
3.00pm
Two experts exchange their views on the central themes of the exhibition Swedish Modernism and connect them to current questions about art, research and society. With Marina Naprushkina (artist) and Dalila Daut (art mediator and researcher).
What is required to establish a community? Artist groups played a significant role in the development of Swedish modernism. They provided a space for exchanging ideas, supporting one another, and developing new approaches. But who could join these groups, and who was excluded? This guided tour will take these questions as a starting point to explore how spaces and relationships can strengthen a sense of community and open up new opportunities for encounter and collaboration through artistic processes.
Marina Naprushkina is an interdisciplinary artist. In her work, she combines artistic research with long-term infrastructure work within post-migrant society. She explores feminist narratives, as well as care and solidarity networks, from an intersectional and feminist perspective. In 2007, she founded the Büro für Antipropaganda and is a co-founder of the Initiative Neue Nachbarschaft/Moabit e.V. She has taught at the weißensee academy of art and the Berlin University of the Arts.
Dalila Daut (born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is an art educator and researcher with an interdisciplinary background in art studies, art history, and museology. Her focus is on postcolonial narratives. She combines theoretical knowledge and research with practical, participatory methods to rethink institutional spaces for the negotiation of identity, memory, and belonging. Dalila is committed to creating spaces for a collective culture of remembrance that actively shapes, challenges, and reflects on social change.
We are committed to respectful interaction. Discriminatory behavior has no place at our events.
