Who were Sigrid Hjertén and Hilma af Klint? What links these two artists? And how did they hold their own in the male-dominated art world of Swedish modernism? In this conversation between Julia Voss and Isabel Fischer, the focus is on their different artistic journeys.
Julia Voss is an art historian, art critic, curator, and, since 2021, a research assistant in the Presidium of the Deutsches Historisches Museum in Berlin. Topics that have occupied her most in recent years include Hilma af Klint, the documenta in Kassel, German history, and the question of how museums can become sustainable.
