The Works Council of Living Beings at the Brücke-Museum is holding its first ever public meeting. Since July 2026, museum visitors have been collecting comments on behalf of plants, fungi, animals and microorganisms from the park and museum, and submitting them to the Works Council. At this inaugural meeting, the comments received will be reviewed and discussed.
Demands, requests and ideas for better cooperation between humans and other living beings will subsequently be passed on to the museum management. The artists’ collective Club Real (Marianna Sonneck, Paz Ponce, Mathia*s Lenz, Georg Reinhardt) has been realising participatory, site-specific projects for 26 years: installations, one-to-one encounters, political role-plays and participatory urban development projects invite participants and visitors to help shape alternative visions of reality. Since 2017, Club Real has been working in various cities on the practice of organisms democracy; based on the principle of equal rights and advocacy by participating individuals, this practice includes all forms of life in decision-making processes.
