What notions of landscape influence the works of the Brücke artists? The Brücke-Museum is situated within a historically evolved (urban) landscape that continues to influence the Grunewald forest today. This tour connects the artworks in the museum and garden with the (hi)stories of the Grunewald, including its transformations and significance for the city of Berlin.
The 90-minute tour takes you round the exhibitions Nature… In the Museum and Art… Beneath Pine Trees in the Brücke-Museum’s garden. Please wear suitable clothing for the weather. One section of the tour follows the woodland path around the museum; the path is uneven in places, which means that it is not fully accessible.

Karen Michelsen Castañón (born in Lima, Peru) is a visual artist, filmmaker and freelance researcher. Her work deals with the way (colonial) stories are told and includes short films, photographs and textiles. She questions how both hegemonic and invisible stories are re-staged in our everyday lives and how this relates to current social events.
