Perfect Match with OMASGEGEN RECHTS

One hundred twenty Berliners have each selected a work of art from the Brücke-Museum collection. In a Perfect Match, some of the co-curators talk to museum staff about their connection to the Brücke. Project manager Luna Weis invites OMAS GEGEN RECHTS (Grannies Against the Right: Betina Kern and Verena Croon) to a conversation to share their impressions on the painting Portrait S. by Karl Schmidt-Rottluff.

OMAS GEGEN RECHTS is a civil society, non-partisan initiative committed to actively campaigning for human rights and democracy. It was formed in Germany in 2018 and is modelled on OMAS GEGEN RECHTS Austria. OMAS GEGEN RECHTS are committed to fighting right-wing populism and right-wing extremism and for a democratic, organised, open society based on the rule of law. Some of their groups are grassroots democratic; others are organised in associations. Their numbers are still growing; there are now probably 50,000 OMAS GEGEN RECHTS. They work on a voluntary basis; funding is only occasionally available for a project.

Participation in public events is included with museum admission. No advance registration is required.
