Perfect Match with atelier le balto
6.00 – 7.00pm
One hundred twenty Berliners have each selected a work of art from the Brücke-Museum’s collection. In a Perfect Match, some of the co-curators talk to museum staff about their connection to the Brücke. Project manager Julia Reinschüssel invites the landscape architects atelier le balto to a conversation to share their impressions on the woodcut Trees in Winter by Karl Schmidt-Rottluff.
atelier le balto has stood for the Berlin-based landscape architects since 2001: Marc Pouzol (founder), Véronique Faucheur, Nil Lachkareff and Lilith Unverzagt, as well as Marc Vatinel, from Le Havre. They have designed and realised numerous gardens for art galleries and cultural venues including the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, the Brücke-Museum, the Berlinische Galerie and, most recently, the Kulturforum in Berlin. The development of plants and the movement of people are the main components of their realisations. atelier le balto creates places of encounter and exchange.
Participation in public events is included with museum admission. No advance registration is required.
