Intervention

Interventions
Cooperation with the University of Hildesheim

Students from the University of Hildesheim cordially invite you to intervene in the current exhibition. Since the fall, they have been developing new mediation concepts for the Brücke-Museum audience. In different ways, they deal with Lise Gujer’s tapestries and their genesis, encourage critical reflection and open up new perspectives on the exhibited works. They do this performatively and narratively, participatively and multisensory.
The concepts were developed in close collaboration with Daniela Bystron (curator for Outreach / Brücke-Museum) and Fiona McGovern (lecturer at the University of Hildesheim).

Programme:

Beeing Guest of Lise Gujer
Intervention / Conversation
We welcome you with a warm tea! Take a moment to arrive, settle down and tune in to Lise Gujer as an artist and personality. We would like to make reference to the hospitality and care work that played a role in Gujer’s biography. We invite you to a quiet tea ceremony in the foyer. We will be happy to accept registrations at the information table on site.
With Sophie Schneider and Julia Zalewski
Time: 1pm-2:30pm

Interwoven sounds
Intervention / Performance
What sounds did Lisa Gujer probably hear when she sat at her loom in Davos? Auditory elements interweave like threads on a loom and create a tapestry of sound inspired by Gujer’s surroundings and working methods. The rhythm of looms, voices in conversations and the echo of her alpine home in Davos merge into a soundscape.
With Moritz Hüper and Magda-Lena Prokopiev
Time: 1pm - 3pm

Woven stories
Conversation
Lise Gujer has woven tapestries. And these carpets tell stories. We want to discover these stories with you and consider together what scenes are depicted on the fabrics. We warmly welcome you to a shared contemplation of the Davos mountains.
With Luise Dahns and Julia Hartmann
Meeting point: cloakroom
Please register on site at the information table.
Time: 1:30pm & 2:30pm

Pulling threads - showing gaps
Performance / Talk
We pull threads that pose questions, fill gaps and shift perspectives. With the intervention Threads, we interweave the works of Lise Gujer with feminist approaches. Here we thematise the lack of knowledge about her role and collaboration with Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. Become part of the network, let yourself be inspired and irritated.
With Nanda Bröckling, Salima El Kurdi, Tinka Remlinger and Pauline Neumann
Time: 12:45pm-1:30pm

Kind regards from Lise Gujer
Workshop
What lies behind the mountains? How many threads does a cow consist of? Who looks after you and why is everyone here naked? We send our thoughts from the Brücke-Museum out into the world on personalised postcards.
With Josephine Altmeyer, Merit Meurers, Adina von Hollen and Dani-Lou Voigt
Time: 1pm - 3pm

Further information about the programme is available at the information desk in the foyer of the Brücke-Museum. Prior registration is not necessary.
