DESCRIPTION:Conversation with Judith Raum\n\nIn the series Re-visited\, exp
erts from different disciplines share their particular perspective on the
exhibition – an exhibition tour based on discussion.\n\nJudith Raum is an
artist and writer living in Berlin. Her multi media installations and lect
ure performances often incorporate archival research on social and economi
c histories\, and more recently focuse on the history of the textile indus
try. For example\, her recent works consider the aesthetics and materials
used by the artists of the Bauhaus textile workshop as well as examine the
fabrics in terms of both gender politics at the Bauhaus and the political
unrest before the National Socialists took power.
