DESCRIPTION:With Yili Rojas (artist)\n\nWhat happens when we create art tog
ether\, rather than alone? The exhibition Swedish Modernism shows just how
important exchange and mutual support were to many artists in their creat
ive work. In this workshop\, participants are invited to experiment with w
oodcut printing and collaborate to produce a large-format\, two-colour pri
nt. The focus is not on individual artworks but on the collective process:
listening\, experimenting\, sharing ideas\, and making decisions together
.\n\nNo prior knowledge is necessary. Please bring suitable work clothes.
Although the workshop will be mainly in German\, we mention the languages
spoken by the facilitators to make it more accessible. If you don’t feel c
onfident in German\, don’t worry — you can still take part.\n\nYili Rojas
(born in Bogotá\, Colombia) and has been working as an artist and educatio
nal instructor in political education in Berlin since 2010. Her focus in p
 olitical education is on (post-)colonialism\, anti-discrimination\, anti-r
acism\, and the empowerment of migrants and BIPoCs. As an artist\, she wor
 ks with drawing\, printmaking\, performance\, installation\, and poetic te
xts.\n\nWe are committed to respectful interaction. Discriminatory behavio
r has no place at our events.
