As we admire its grandeu r\, we may also feel distant or detached from it. In this workshop\, we tu rn our attention to the small landscapes right in front of our eyes – to m osses\, plants\, structures and details that are often overlooked. By affe ctionately observing the surroundings of the Waldraum (Forest Room)\, we g ain a greater sense of what connects us to them. From this experience\, a collective woodcut emerges: an image in which we recognise ourselves as pa rt of the landscape – as a human forest\, interwoven with other bodies and life forms. Together\, we will develop a vision of interconnectedness tha t challenges individualism.\n\nNo prior knowledge is necessary. Please bri ng suitable work clothes. Although the workshop will be mainly in German\, we mention the languages spoken by the facilitators to make it more acces sible. If you don’t feel confident in German\, don’t worry — you can still take part.\n\nYili Rojas was born in Bogotá (Colombia) and has been worki ng as an artist and educational instructor in political education in Berli n since 2010. Her focus in political education is on (post-)colonialism\, anti-discrimination\, anti-racism\, and the empowerment of migrants and BI PoCs. As an artist\, she works with drawing\, printmaking\, performance\, installation\, and poetic texts.\n\nWe are committed to respectful interac tion.
