DESCRIPTION:With Meeting Lines (artistic collective / Marcos García Pérez a
nd Carla Schliephack)\n\nDrawing can be so simple\, but it takes practice!
In this workshop\, you’ll discover new energy and movement for your line
work: just like a gym session for your creative drawing muscles. The artis
t duo Meeting Lines (Marcos García Pérez and Carla Schliephack) will chall
enge you with a variety of exercises designed to shake up your (viewing) h
abits and help you overcome your creative blocks: “I’ve got no energy…” Th
is session focuses on the question of whether a perfect physical and produ
ctive state for drawing even exists. Whether you’re tired\, full of energy
or feeling a bit up and down – whatever you bring with you can become the
starting point for a vibrant drawing.\n\nOver 100 years ago\, the Brücke
artists experimented with pen and paper\, often using quickly executed dra
wings and rapid changes of position. We invite you to a workout featuring
 a variety of exercises such as line cardio\, teamwork\, sprints\, focus\,
inspiration\, stretching and meditation.\nAlthough the workshop will be ma
inly in German\, we mention the languages spoken by the facilitators to ma
ke it more accessible. If you don’t feel confident in German\, don’t worry
  — you can still take part.\n\nMarcos García Pérez and Carla Schliephack m
ake up the Berlin-based art duo Meeting Lines. Together\, they investigate
critical collective processes at the intersection of human/environment an
d self-education/art. To this end\, they develop site-specific drawing pra
ctices that involve copying\, improvising and playing. The reuse of materi
als is central to their arts education work as well as their artistic prac
tice.\n\nMarcos García Pérez studied fine arts at the Universidad Politecn
ica de Valencia and graduated from the UdK Berlin (Berlin University of th
e Arts) in 2020 in the Art in Context programme. Since then\, he has worke
d as an independent artist and art educator.\n\nAfter earning a B.A. in fa
shion design\, Carla Schliephack was a master student in the Sculpture Dep
artment at the weißensee academy of art berlin\, a programme she continues
to promote. Through further training as a systemic coach\, she now works
as an art educator and freelance artist in Berlin.\n\nWe are committed to
respectful interaction. Discriminatory behavior has no place at our events
