DESCRIPTION:With Thesea Rigou Efstathopoulos (artist and art mediator) \n\n
What did the Brücke artists see when they depicted nature – and what do we
see today? From printmaking techniques and still lifes to works that are
no longer centred on humankind\, this tour journeys through the past and t
he present. The 90-minute tour takes you round the exhibitions Nature... I
n the Museum and Art… Beneath Pine Trees in the Brücke-Museum’s garden. Pl
ease wear suitable clothing for the weather. One section of the tour follo
ws the woodland path around the museum\; the path is uneven in places\, wh
ich means that it is not fully accessible.\n\nThis tour was conceived by T
hesea Rigou. \nThesea Rigou Efstathopoulos (b. 1997 in Cyprus) has been a
freelance art mediator at the Brücke-Museum for over three years. Their ar
tistic practice spans printmaking\, ceramics\, drawing\, installation and
participatory activities\, often as part of the artist duo Helena &amp\; T
he Sea. Focusing on material cycles and socio-ecological kinship\, Thesea
approaches art mediation as an embodied\, relational process that involves
working with the body as much as with words.\n\nWe are committed to respe
ctful interaction. Discriminatory behavior has no place at our events.
