It was therefore fitting that curator Lisa Marei Schmidt invited both artists and designers to be involv ed the exhibition design. The exhibition approaches the craftsmanship of t he Brücke using three materials: wood\, metal and textiles. Individual roo ms are dedicated to each material\, with each room visually distinct from the others. The minimalist display cases designed by architect Andrea Fara gunas in cooperation with the artist Vittorio Visciano for the metal objec ts are followed by an evocative room installation by designer Jerszy Seymo ur for the works made of wood. Textile works\, meanwhile\, are presented f reely in the space within an expansive screen structure created by artist Kasia Fudakowski and graphic designer Santiago da Silva.\n\nIn this talk\, all those involved will discuss their initial ideas through to their impl ementation.\n\nThe museum is open until 8 p.m.\n\nJerszy Seymour\nJerszy S eymour is an artist\, designer and co-founder of the Dirty Art Department\ , a radical master’s programme in art and design at the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam. His works combine practical and symbolic interventions with post-utopian humour and develop decentralised models for new ways of thin king and living. Seymour’s works have been exhibited internationally and a re represented at venues including the Centre Pompidou\, the Vitra Design Museum and the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg. He teaches internatio nally\, including at the Royal College of Art\, the Berlin University of t he Arts (UdK) and the Domus Academy.\n\nKasia Fudakowski\nKasia Fudakowski is a visual artist. She studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art at the University of Oxford. In her diverse and playful practice\, she uses sculpture\, performance\, text and film to explore social enigmas th rough material encounters\, surreal logic and comic theory. Much of her wo rk artistically explores real and imagined boundaries\, examining how adap tability can be both a means of survival and the cause of our current pred icaments. Kasia Fudakowski has won the Mitzi Cunliffe Prize for Sculpture \, amongst other awards\, and was a resident at Villa Romana in Florence. \n\nSantiago da Silva\nSantiago da Silva is a designer\, curator and autho r. He creates publication designs\, communication systems and exhibition d isplays for contemporary art and cultural institutions. Through his studio \, Santiago da Silva\, he is known for a design approach rooted in cultura l competence\, shaping formats into accessible artistic spaces. He is co-f ounder of Object Notes\, a long-term research platform on craftsmanship an d labour in art and design.\n\nVittorio Visciano\nVittorio Visciano is an artist and independent researcher based in Berlin. He studied art history and photography. His practice investigates memory and narrative through ha nd-crafted objects\, animation\, and archival reconstructions\, exploring the relationship between reality and fabrication. His work is part of the State Collection of Cyprus.\n\nAndrea Faraguna\nAndrea Faraguna is an arch itect working in the fields of adaptive reuse\, scenography and environmen tal design. He obtained his PhD from the IUAV University of Venice and has taught in Mendrisio and Vienna. His projects explore architecture as a na rrative and ecological framework that mediates between material cycles\, h uman behaviour and climate. In 2025\, he was awarded the Golden Lion at th e Venice Architecture Biennale for curating and designing the National Pav ilion of the Kingdom of Bahrain.\n\nValentina Bay is an art historian and assistant curator at the Brücke-Museum in Berlin.\n\nLisa Marei Schmidt is a curator and since 2017 has been director of the Brücke-Museum in Berlin .
