At the same time\, there were clear ideas about which forms of expression were considered art. Women* were often directed towards are as such as textiles\, ceramics\, or illustration. Painting and sculpture\, on the other hand\, remained male-dominated – a pattern that was also ver y present at the Bauhaus. In this tour\, we aim to question traditional as signments and conventions that continue to shape our understanding of mate rial\, medium\, and authorship today. Discriminatory behavior has no place at our events.\n\nTanja-Bi anca Schmidt studied art history in a global context. Her focus is on powe r critique\, black identity and postcolonial theory. As a political mediat or\, she advises various museums in Germany on diversification and decolon isation strategies. She regularly organises workshops on discrimination-se nsitive approaches in art history. She is currently doing her PhD in the D FG-funded project “Image Protests on Social Media” at the TU Dresden.\n\nK aren Michelsen Castañón (born in Lima\, Peru) is a visual artist\, filmmak er and freelance researcher. Her work deals with the way (colonial) histor ies are told and includes short films\, photographs and textiles. She ques tions how both hegemonic and invisible stories are re-staged in our everyd ay lives and how this relates to current social events.
