DESCRIPTION:Is the museum a place for food? In this workshop\, we explore v
egetables as printing material\, symbols\, and artistic language. Inspired
by Karl Schmidt-Rottluff’s painting Kohlrabi (1947)\, we reflect together
on themes of domestic work\, culture\, and collective memory\, especially
through the lens of food. We will print\, smear\, stamp\, and experiment
with real beetroot\, turmeric\, and kohlrabi and everything that squishes\
, drips\, and glows.\n\nThe workshop invites you to create freely\, share
stories\, and connect through thoughtful exchange. Together\, we will prin
 t\, prepare and share a meal\, and make a collaborative textile piece—a “H
arvest Cloth”—that reflects how food\, like art\, brings us together. It c
arries memories and emotions\, linking our personal experiences with the w
orld around us.\n\nAt the heart of it all is a central question: What kind
s of work are seen and remembered in art and history and which remain invi
sible? Through the shared act of creating\, we explore how food carries me
mory and emotion\, building bridges between the personal and the social. L
ike art\, it has the power to connect us\, to give meaning\, and to make t
he invisible visible.\n\nThe workshop is for FLINTA*(Women\, Lesbians\, In
 ter\, Non-binary\, Trans\, and Agender people). No experience needed—just
curiosity and clothes you can get messy. Although the workshop will be mai
nly in German\, we mention the languages spoken by the facilitators to mak
e it more accessible. If you don’t feel confident in German\, don’t worry
 — you can still take part.\n\nMelina Daphne Papageorgiou\, Photographer an
d artist. She grew up in Greece and was artistically influenced in Berlin.
Her work deals with visibility\, identity and visual perception. She work
s with cultural images and explores performative and culinary practices. H
er work has been shown in exhibitions in Germany and abroad.\n\nNatalia Ro
driguez Ramirez is a Colombian visual artist based in Berlin. Her practice
encompasses video\, performance\, public art and participatory projects w
ith social groups. Her work is located at the intersection of artistic res
earch\, mediation and social engagement. In her interests\, she deals with
questions of subjectivity\, colonialism\, affect and memory in post-war c
 ontexts.
