DESCRIPTION:With Yili Rojas (artist)\n\nPrintmaking held a special signific
ance for the Brücke artists. It enabled them to stay in contact with their
circle of supporters and to consolidate themselves as a group. For exampl
 e\, they designed signets\, envelopes\, annual cards\, membership cards\,
posters\, and much more. In this open workshop\, we experiment with the wo
odcut as a collective experience. Today\, we live in a society that is cha
racterised by individuality. What would it be like to think\, feel and hav
e fun together through printing? Is it possible to put aside individual au
thorship and create an image together? At the beginning of the workshop\,
we rely on a collective process to choose a theme from the museum’s surrou
ndings. As a group\, we create a large-scale work in two colours that expr
esses our shared reflection and creativity.\n\nYili Rojas was born in Bogo
tá (Colombia) and has been working as an artist and educational instructor
in political education in Berlin since 2010. Her focus in political educa
tion is on (post-)colonialism\, anti-discrimination\, anti-racism\, and th
e empowerment of migrants and BIPoCs. As an artist\, she works with drawin
 g\, printmaking\, performance\, installation\, and poetic texts.
