How can subjects such as memory and historiography be ta ught and learned critically in pedagogical contexts? And how can diverse p erspectives be included? This workshop offers insights into the methodolog ical work of political education with a focus on content critical of antis emitism. It is primarily aimed at people from fields surrounding cultural and political education\, social practices as well as art and cultural out reach.\n\nKlgA e.V.\, the Kreuzberger Initiative gegen Antisemitismus (Ini tiative Against Antisemitism) in Berlin\, has been fighting antisemitism\, racism\, hate and intolerance for the last twenty years. The association’ s approach is innovative and intersectional. This pedagogical programming is designed for schools\, adult educational contexts\, and formats outside schools. KlgA offers a broad range of cultural programming and has been a ctive throughout Germany and Europe for many years.\n\nDésirée Galert has directed the Praxisstelle Bildung und Beratung (Practical Training Centre for Education and Consultation) at the Kreuzberger Initiative gegen Antise mitismus KIgA e.V. since 2018. The centre was established as a central poi nt of contact for schools seeking support in addressing antisemitic incide nts. As pedagogy director at KlgA\, she also develops\, implements and eva luates workshops and projects for teachers and students\, as well as cours es for KlgA’s team leaders. She studied Islamic studies\, political scienc e and ethnology in Berlin and Mytilene\, Greece.
