DESCRIPTION:With Meeting Lines (artist collective / Marcos García Pérez and
Carla Schliephack)\n\nDrawing can be so easy\, but it takes practice. In
this workshop\, you will find new tension and movement for your lines in d
rawing: just like a gym workout for your creative drawing muscles. The art
ist duo Meeting Lines (Marcos García Pérez and Carla Schliephack) will cha
llenge you with a variety of exercises to break your (visual) habits and h
elp you unlock your creative blocks. The Brücke artists showed us how over
a hundred years ago and invented the ‘quarter-hour nude’: Drawing quickly
and changing positions quickly was their motto. We invite you to a workou
 t with a variety of exercises such as line cardio\, teamwork\, sprints\, f
 ocus\, inspiration\, stretching\, and meditation.\n\nMeeting Lines is a Be
rlin-based art duo consisting of Marcos García Pérez and Carla Schliephack
. Together they investigate critical collective processes at the intersect
ion of human/environment and self-education/art. To this end\, they develo
p site-specific drawing practices between copying\, improvising and playin
 g. The recycling of materials lies within their focus of art education and
artistic practice.\n\nMarcos García Pérez studied Fine Arts at the Univer
sidad Politecnica de Valencia and graduated from the UdK Berlin in 2020 in
the Art in Context program. Since then\, he has worked as an independent
artist and art educator.\n\nAfter a B.A. in Fashion Design\, Carla Schliep
hack graduated as a diplomat and master student of the Sculpture Faculty o
f the Berlin Weißensee School of Art. With her further training as a syste
mic coach\, she now also works as an art mediator and freelance artist in
 Berlin.
