Exactly what earlier generations of artists had cut to size\, polished smooth\, or painted over appealed t o the Brücke artists: grain\, cracks\, unevenness\, even the irregularly g rown form. All the randomness of nature was now incorporated into the desi gn. It became an artistic program.\n\nThe Forest Room is a space for excha nge\, production\, and reflection in the garden of the Brücke Museum. Desi gned as a glass pavilion by the architecture and art collective ConstructL ab\, it offers a special art and nature experience.\n\nTogether with the v isual artist Yili Rojas you can try out the technique of woodblock printin g yourself and develop your own image ideas and messages. Yili Rojas was b orn in Bogotá - Colombia and has been working as an artist and educational consultant in political education in Berlin since 2010. Her focus in poli tical education work is (post-)colonialism\, anti-discrimination and anti- racism and empowerment for migrants and BIPoCs. As an artist she works wit h drawing\, printmaking\, performance\, installation and poetic texts.
