 r here\n\nA wealth of new interdisciplinary research perspectives has enri
 ched the examination of expressionist art in recent years. However\, is ex
 pressionism\, beyond those discourses\, still relevant for the younger gen
 eration? The workshop will explore questions such as how can art history t
 eaching at universities and exhibitions and educational programs at museum
 s be developed to attract students and junior scholars as well as young au
 diences to classical modernism\, which topics and methods are suitable and
  what aspects have been overlooked?\n\nJProf. Dr. Fiona McGovern  is an ar
 t historian\, writer\, and curator. In her research\, curatorial and educa
 tional practice\, she focusses on questions regarding (artistic) exhibitio
 n history and historiography\, ethics of curating as well as interdiscipli
 nary approaches within the arts. Since 2018\, she holds a junior professor
 ship for curatorial practice and art mediation at the University of Hildes
 heim. In 2022\, she was visiting professor of curatorial studies at the Hf
 G Karlsruhe.\n\nDaniela Bystron has been Curator for Outreach/Programme at
  the Brücke-Museum Berlin since 2018. From 2006 to 2018\, she headed the A
 rt Education Department at the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart\, 
 Berlin\, and at the Neue Nationalgalerie\, part of the National Museums in
  Berlin. In her curatorial and educational practice\, she is interested in
  questioning museum routines and canonical concepts of knowledge\, explori
 ng spatial and social settings\, and employing collaborative working metho
 ds.
