Lisa Marei Schmidt\, Di rector of the Brücke-Museum\, and Christiane Remm\, Research Associate at the Karl and Emy Schmidt-Rottluff Stiftung\, offer a contemporary perspect ive on longstanding questions and themes in the field. Through their conve rsation\, they create a dialogue bridging the past and the present\, tradi tion and innovation.\n\nChristiane Remm has been working at the Brücke-Mus eum since 2003\, where she has been involved in and realized numerous exhi bition and publication projects. Since 2019\, she has been a research asso ciate and collection curator at the Karl and Emy Schmidt-Rottluff Foundati on. In this role\, she oversees the artistic and documentary estate of Kar l Schmidt-Rottluff at the Brücke-Museum and has been documenting his artis tic work for several years. Currently\, she is commissioned by the foundat ion to compile a catalogue raisonné of the artist’s paintings.\n\nLisa Mar ei Schmidt is an art historian\, curator\, and museum director. Since Octo ber 2017\, she has been leading the Brücke-Museum in Berlin-Dahlem. Schmid t studied in Marburg\, Amsterdam\, Berlin\, and London. From 2009 to 2011\ , she worked as a research trainee at the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfale n\, and from 2012 to 2017\, she was a curator at the Hamburger Bahnhof – M useum für Gegenwart in Berlin. Her exhibition Vivian Suter. Bonzo’s Dream at the Brücke-Museum\, in which Schmidt invited the artist Vivian Suter to collaborate with the museum’s collection\, was awarded Special Exhibition 2020 by the international association of art critics\, AICA.
