DESCRIPTION:Cracks\, fissures or grains: No two pieces of wood are alike. T
herefore\, woodblock printing is a printing technique in which nature has
a great influence. Now you can try out this special technique in the fores
t room between the Brücke Museum and the Kunsthaus Dahlem! You will get to
know a sophisticated printing technique\, think about the themes of natur
e and the forest\, and incorporate them into your image design. The works
of the Brücke artists can also give you ideas for this.\n\nTogether with t
he visual artist Yili Rojas you can try out the technique of woodblock pri
nting yourself and develop your own image ideas and messages. Yili Rojas w
as born in Bogotá - Colombia and has been working as an artist and educati
onal consultant in political education in Berlin since 2010. Her focus in
political education work is (post-)colonialism\, anti-discrimination and a
nti-racism and empowerment for migrants and BIPoCs. As an artist she works
with drawing\, printmaking\, performance\, installation and poetic texts.
\n\nThe Forest Room is a space for exchange\, production\, and reflection
in the garden of the Brücke Museum. Designed as a glass pavilion by the ar
chitecture and art collective ConstructLab\, it offers a special art and n
ature experience.\n\nIn cooperation with Jugend im Museum e.V. and Kunstha
 us Dahlem
