DESCRIPTION:Talk with Mascha Fehse (architect) and Alexander Römer (archite
ct)\, moderated by Daniela Bystron (curator of outreach\, Brücke- Museum)
\n\nExperiencing nature and community are at the centre of the new pavilio
n in the gardens of the Brücke-Museum. The architecture and artist collect
ive ConstructLab has created a space on the edge of the forest that is sus
tainable and regional due to the choice of materials and allows a direct e
xperience of nature due to its great transparency. A new artistic venue fo
r social exchange has been created here for the Brücke-Museum. We would li
ke to invite you to an evening social gathering in the pavilion and garden
s of the Brücke-Museum to celebrate the opening of the pavilion. Mascha Fe
hse and Alex Römer will talk about the concept and the process of creating
the pavilion\, and the discussion will be moderated by Daniela Bystron.\n
\nMascha Fehse lives in Berlin and works in the border area of architectur
e\, art and culture. She is confronting questions of the public and the co
mmon\, focussing on micro-collisions\, applied experimental approaches and
a design discourse that triggers curiosity and leaves space for an attitu
de. She is intrigued by moments that allow a multiplicity of motivation an
d coexistence of contradictions. Social constellation\, infrastructural re
lations\, structural connections and imaginative associations are issues t
hat occupy her.\n\nAlexander Römer studied carpentry and architecture. He
founded ConstructLab as a forum for participative design-build projects in
1998. In 2005 he joined the Parisian collective EXYZT and worked on many
projects among others the French contribution to the 10th architecture bie
nnial in Venice 2006. With the idea of ConstructLab and its network of des
 igners\, builders\, architects\, photographs\, graphic designers\, gardene
rs or cooks he initiated and designed numerous projects internationally.\n
